About Basic Life Support Training
WMD’s Basic Life Support (BLS) campaign trains community members, volunteers, and youth in essential first aid and emergency response skills. Through hands-on workshops and certification programs, we build community resilience and save lives.
Training Modules
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) — Hands-on training in adult and child CPR techniques
- First Aid Essentials — Wound care, fracture management, burn treatment, and choking response
- Emergency Response — How to assess emergency situations, call for help, and provide initial stabilization
- Disaster Preparedness — Earthquake safety, flood evacuation, and emergency kit preparation
- Blood Pressure & Vitals — Basic health monitoring skills for community health volunteers

Why This Matters
In Pakistan, the average ambulance response time can exceed 30 minutes in urban areas and much longer in rural regions. Basic life support training empowers ordinary citizens to become first responders who can save lives in those critical first minutes before professional help arrives.
