About Covid-19 Relief Operations
During the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, WMD launched rapid-response relief operations to support families devastated by lockdowns, job losses, and medical emergencies. For 12 consecutive months, we served 500+ families every month with essential supplies.
What We Did
- Monthly Ration Distribution — Complete food packages delivered to 500+ families every month for a full year
- PPE Distribution — Masks, gloves, sanitizers, and protective equipment provided to healthcare workers and communities
- Medical Support — Financial assistance for Covid-positive patients needing hospitalization, oxygen, and medicines
- Hygiene Kits — Soap, sanitizer, and disinfectant packages distributed to vulnerable communities
- Awareness Campaigns — Covid-19 prevention awareness through social media and community outreach

Lessons Learned
The Covid-19 response strengthened WMD’s disaster management capabilities and built a robust volunteer network that continues to serve in all subsequent emergency operations. It proved that young, dedicated volunteers can make an extraordinary impact when organized effectively.
