About Food Drives
WMD’s Food Drives campaign mobilizes communities to collect and distribute essential food items to families struggling with hunger. Through strategically placed collection points and volunteer networks, we turn community generosity into tangible hunger relief.
How Food Drives Work
- Collection Points — We set up food collection stations at mosques, universities, offices, and community centers across multiple cities
- Volunteer Networks — Our trained volunteers manage collection, sorting, and quality checking of donated food items
- Sorting & Packaging — Collected items are sorted, quality-checked, and packed into family-sized ration packages
- Distribution — Packages are distributed to verified families through door-to-door delivery or organized distribution events
What We Collect
- Non-perishable food items (flour, rice, lentils, cooking oil)
- Canned goods and dry goods
- Baby food and formula
- Tea, sugar, and daily essentials
Community Impact
Food drives serve a dual purpose — they provide immediate hunger relief to families in need while also building a culture of giving and community responsibility. Our drives engage hundreds of donors and volunteers from all walks of life.
