In September 2024, WMD organized a Free Medical and Dental Camp in Oghi, Mansehra — a remote area where healthcare access is severely limited. Over 500 patients were treated in a single day.
On-Ground Operations
WMD deployed specialist doctors, procured medicines, and set up mobile clinics with diagnostic equipment. The camp provided free OPD consultations, basic diagnostic tests including blood tests, immediate treatment and medication, and maternal and child healthcare services.
For complex cases that required advanced treatment, WMD arranged referrals to hospitals — covering transportation and treatment costs so patients wouldn’t be turned away due to lack of money.
Impact
This was one of multiple medical camps WMD has organized in underserved areas. From flood emergency medical camps in Buner (KP), Gambat (Sindh), and Dera Murad Jamali (Balochistan) to routine health camps in remote communities, WMD brings healthcare to those who need it most — aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
