When the floods came, we lost everything. WMD was one of the first to reach us with food, water, and medicine. They didn't just drop supplies and leave — they stayed for days, set up medical camps, and helped us survive.

— Flood Affected Families

When devastating floods struck Jaffarabad and Dera Allah Yar in August 2022, WMD was among the first organizations to respond. A 2-3 member assessment team was deployed immediately to evaluate food, water, medical, and shelter needs in the affected areas.

Phase I Response (29 Aug – 3 Sept 2022)

WMD’s disaster management team mobilized rapidly, arranging ration food supplies, clean drinking water, medical assistance, temporary shelter (tents), precautionary and safety supplies, and warm clothing and blankets. All volunteers were equipped with masks, sanitization equipment, and safety gear.

Continued Operations

The relief efforts continued with Phase II in Dera Murad Jamali and Usta Muhammad (25 Sept – 1 Oct 2022), followed by operations in Gambat, Sindh (29-30 Oct 2022). WMD also ran flood emergency medical camps at each location, treating waterborne diseases and providing OPD consultations.

Most recently, WMD responded to the August 2025 floods in Buner, KP, providing food, medical support, clothing, and reconstruction assistance.
