About Monthly Rashan Program

WMD’s Monthly Rashan Program is a year-round food security initiative that provides consistent, reliable food support to the most vulnerable families in Pakistan. Unlike one-time distributions, this program ensures continuous support until families achieve stable, sustainable income.

Who We Serve

• Widows — Female-headed households with no breadwinner
• Orphaned Families — Households caring for orphaned children
• Persons with Disabilities — Families where the primary earner is disabled
• Elderly Without Support — Senior citizens living alone without family assistance
• Daily Wage Earners — Families hit by unemployment or illness

Our Process

• Case Identification — Community volunteers and referrals help identify families facing food insecurity
• Home Verification — WMD’s verification team visits each family to assess needs, family size, living conditions, and income status
• Monthly Delivery — One-month supply ration packages delivered directly to families’ doorsteps
• Regular Follow-up — Periodic check-ins to monitor family’s situation and adjust support
• Exit Strategy — Support continues until the family achieves stable income; families are also connected with employment and skill development opportunities

Package Contents

Each monthly ration package contains essential staples sufficient for a family for one full month, including flour, rice, lentils, cooking oil, sugar, tea, and seasonal necessities.

Dignity First

All cases are handled with complete confidentiality. Packages are delivered in unmarked bags to protect the dignity of receiving families. Our volunteers are trained to treat every family with respect and compassion.
