About Education Support Program

WMD’s Education Support Program — known as Tameer-e-Mustaqbil (Building the Future) — identifies children trapped in child labour and begging, transitions them into formal schooling, and covers all educational expenses until they are self-sufficient.

Our Approach: Street to School

  • Identification — Our teams identify children working at traffic signals, markets, brick kilns, and streets who should be in school
  • Family Engagement — We work with families to understand barriers to education and address them. Many families rely on children’s income, so we provide family ration support to offset the loss
  • School Enrollment — Children are enrolled in nearby schools with full support from WMD
  • Complete Sponsorship — We cover school fees, books, stationery, uniforms, bags, shoes, and transportation costs. Fees are paid directly to schools — never given in cash
  • Monitoring & Follow-up — Regular visits to schools and families to ensure children remain enrolled and attend regularly. Academic progress is tracked

Hunar Kada — Digital Literacy Program

Beyond basic education, WMD’s Hunar Kada initiative provides digital literacy and technology skills training to empower young people with marketable skills for sustainable livelihoods. This program teaches:

  • Basic computer skills and digital literacy
  • Microsoft Office and productivity tools
  • Internet safety and research skills
  • Introduction to freelancing and online earning

Tameer-e-Mustaqbil — Building the Future

A long-term development program focused on community education, capacity building, and creating pathways from poverty to self-sufficiency through education and skills development.
